I know that devices from the United States and Europe
will not work together because of the difference of wave
transmission, but can I create the two different networks,
without interference problems?
Yes, you should be able to create two networks. There is
no problem having two Z-Wave networks coexist with one on
a 908MHz (US) and the other on an 868MHz (EU). It may even
be possible to bridge the two networks using a computer
with a receiver for each frequency.
Are there Z-Wave products available for controlling
motorized window shades, controlling humidifiers, and sensing
water leakages on hardwood floors?
-Controlling motorized window shades: Yes, Electronic
Solutions Inc. and Techniku
both offer Z-Wave compatible products for controlling window
shades.
-Controlling humidifiers: There are no products that we
know of at this time.
-Sensing and alarm for water leakages on hardwood floors:
These sensors are due out in the second quarter of 2007.
Do all Z-Wave products operate on the same low frequency?
I'm concerned about conflict between them. I have a BOSE
remote control LifeStyle system and believe it operates
on a different frequency. Will it conflict with lighting,
water sensor, or humidifier controls?
Z-Wave products operate on 908MHz in the United States and
868MHz in Europe. There should be no problem with interference
with or from your BOSE Lifestyle remote.
